Professional Carers Group
Supporting and Caring Through Prayer
We are a group of Christians who work in a variety of Caring Professions.
Mission Statement
We aim to provide prayer support for Qualified Professional Carers and those training to be Professional Carers.
We meet on a monthly basis to support and to pray:-
- For each other on a Professional and Personal level
- For our work and those we care for
- For other Professional carers in our community
Who are we?
What is a Professional Carer?
- Individuals who have received specific training for a Caring Profession and are bound by confidentiality (i.e. Medical, Health, Education, Veterinary, Fire and Rescue Service, Paramedics, Police, Social Workers, etc.)
What do we do?
- Meet monthly (depending on shifts)
- Prayer Cards given (where appropriate) for those we are praying for
- Prayers answered and requested are minuted and e-mailed to each member if requested
- Confidentiality is always maintained
- Time-out days at Launde Abbey
What happens when we meet?
- We meet in each other’s homes
- We share our thoughts and concerns in a safe, confidential environment
- We use either music/pictures/scripture reading or quietness as we commit ourselves and the work we do for God
- The meeting starts, continues and finishes with something to eat and drink
We look forward to Professional Carers both in and outside the church family joining us either in person or vie e-mail with prayer requests.
