Junior Youth Club is for children 8 to 13 yrs, and runs on a Friday night from 6.30 until 8.00pm, during school term time. The children enjoy a range of activities including table tennis, snooker, air hockey, table football, dance mats, 2 computers with internet access, play station games and an eye-toy and the occasional activity night with team games, films and parachute games.
We have 32 children ‘on the books’, with an average attendance of 25 each Friday supported by 7 regular leaders.
This club, which meets from 8 to 10pm, offers a safe space for the young people of Wigston to meet with their friends, in a friendly environment. Aimed at those in school years 8 and upwards, we have a lively bunch of around 25 who enjoy the regular club activities as mentioned in the ‘Junior’s Club’ and several trips out during the year.
Meeting, as it does, in the church building we hope that our presence as Christians, and our encouragement to experience Christianity, will lead some of the members to question their own beliefs.
For everyone involved with The Friday Night Club, it’s an enjoyable experience and one we don’t mind sharing.
